Agency & Onboarding Policy
For creators, platforms & agencies · Dial N Search Private Limited · Last updated: 25 August 2023
This policy explains how Dial N Search Private Limited (“Dial N Search”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles creator onboarding on live streaming and short-video apps through us, and how agency relationships, exclusivity, NOC (No Objection Certificate / clearance) and consent work.
It is written for creators and platforms/agencies together so everyone sees the same rules. Exact steps can still vary by platform — always confirm the current rule for that app with us before you move or onboard.

1. What “join through us” means
When a creator joins a live streaming or short-video app through Dial N Search, we help with easy onboarding under our agency / partnership on that app (where available). That relationship is commercial and operational — not employment — unless a separate written contract says otherwise.
Where we sourced, onboarded or manage a creator on an app, commercial terms (including commission or agency share for that platform relationship) apply as agreed in writing for that app / that period. Other agencies offering higher pay or gifts to pull a creator without proper clearance may breach platform rules and our arrangements.
2. Same app — exclusivity & agency lock
On many platforms, a creator account is tied to one agency at a time for that same app. Leaving one agency and joining another on the same platform is usually treated as a transfer, not a free switch.
Creating a new account / new ID on the same app only to leave one agency and join another (or to rejoin us after leaving another agency) is commonly treated as:
- a violation of that platform’s agency / multi-account policy; and/or
- a breach of the agency arrangement under which the creator was onboarded.
Dial N Search may refuse onboarding, pause support, or report such cases to the platform where required. Creators should not assume that a “fresh ID” resets agency obligations on the same app.
3. Two-way NOC / clearance (where required)
For transfers on the same platform, many apps and agency programmes expect proper clearance. In practice, that often means both of the following may be required (not only one):
- NOC / release from the current agency (for example Dial N Search, if the creator is with us; or the other agency, if the creator wants to join us); and
- Acceptance / process from the platform (company) under that app’s agency rules — so the move is recorded on the platform side as well.
Example problems we want to avoid:
- We issue an NOC, but the platform never completes the transfer — yet the creator starts with another agency.
- Another agency issues an NOC (or claims to), the creator joins us, but the platform still shows the old agency or blocks payouts.
So: agency NOC alone may not be enough. Platform confirmation may also be required. Until both sides (where the app requires it) are clear, we may not treat the transfer as complete.
Leaving Dial N Search (outgoing)
If you are onboarded through us on an app and want to move to another agency on that same app, you should request NOC / release from us first, and complete whatever the platform asks. We may set conditions (notice period, dues clearance, inactive status, etc.) as per that app’s policy and our written terms.
Joining Dial N Search (incoming)
If you are already under another agency on the same app, we generally expect:
- valid NOC / release from that agency (where the platform / programme requires it); and
- platform-side clearance so we can onboard you cleanly through us.
We may refuse creators who cannot show proper clearance, or who appear to be using a new account to bypass an existing agency lock.
4. Video consent before onboarding
Before we complete onboarding through us, we may require a creator video consent (and/or other identity / KYC steps). Typical consent may cover, among other things:
- that you are voluntarily joining through Dial N Search on that app;
- that you understand agency exclusivity / transfer rules for that platform;
- that you will not use fake IDs or multi-accounts to evade agency or platform rules;
- that you agree to our Terms, Payments Policy and this Agency & Onboarding Policy where they apply.
Onboarding may be paused until consent (and any required KYC) is completed to our and the platform’s satisfaction.
5. Policies differ by platform
Not every app works the same way. For example:
- some apps allow agency change only with full two-way NOC;
- some allow a move after the creator is inactive for a stated number of months;
- some settle payouts only to the agency of record;
- rules can change when the platform updates its agency programme.
This page describes how we generally work. The binding rule for a given app is that app’s policy plus what we confirm to you in writing for that onboarding. Always ask us: “What is the current transfer / NOC rule on [app name]?”
6. For creators — clear do’s and don’ts
- Do join through us only on apps we confirm are open for onboarding.
- Do complete video consent / KYC when asked.
- Do request NOC from us before moving to another agency on the same app.
- Don’t create a new account on the same app to escape an agency without clearance.
- Don’t assume another agency’s higher pay offer cancels your existing obligations — clear NOC + platform process first.
- Don’t share OTPs or “transfer fees” with unknown people claiming to speed up NOC (see fraud notes in our Payments Policy).
7. For platforms & other agencies
- We expect fair dealing: do not pull creators we onboarded on an app without proper NOC / platform process.
- If you need a creator released from Dial N Search on a specific app, contact us in writing with the creator’s handle / ID and the platform name.
- Partner apps should align agency transfers with their own published agency rules so commission and payouts stay with the correct agency of record.
8. Breaches & consequences
If we reasonably believe a creator or third party has violated platform rules or this policy (including multi-accounting to switch agencies, fake NOCs, or onboarding without clearance), we may:
- refuse or reverse onboarding support;
- withhold unsettled agency-side amounts where the written deal allows;
- notify the platform;
- decline future brand or app opportunities.
Platforms may also suspend accounts independently under their terms — we do not control that.
9. Electronic confirmations (email / official channels)
For NOC / release, onboarding consent, agency transfer approvals and similar confirmations, Dial N Search may accept a clear written confirmation only from the same registered / official email on record for that creator, brand, agency or platform — typically the email stated in our contract / written confirmation, or the party’s registered official email already linked to that relationship. Our own confirmations will come from our official Dial N Search business email for that matter.
Same email proves authenticity. Approval from a random, personal or newly created email that is not on our records will not normally be treated as valid. A clear “yes”, “approved”, “confirmed” or equivalent from the registered email may be treated as acceptance. A wet-ink signed paper contract is not always required for every such step, though we may still require signed or e-signed documents where appropriate.
As per Indian law: electronic formation of contracts / acceptances is recognised under Section 10A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, read with the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Such electronic records may be used as electronic evidence where allowed under applicable evidence law (including the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 provisions on electronic records such as Section 65B where applicable, and/or the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, including Section 63 on electronic / digital records, as applicable to the proceeding). Formal proof in court may still require certificates or other steps prescribed by law.
More detail: Terms of Use — Electronic communications (see section on electronic communications & email confirmations).
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we publish updates. Platform-specific rules still take priority for that app when they differ.
